Earthv2.org - rethinking the planet

Earthv2.org is imperfect. REALLY imperfect! But I thought, why not start it up and see what happens? 

So, starting today (5/31 @ 3am) you can make an account and start posting.  Have at it!

I suggest posting to FORUMS rather than the other locations, for now. That's the only part that I think works. Again, any help from Drupal people would be much appreciated!

Wow, I hadn't posted on Earthv2.org for almost an entire year.  And development did come to a halt.  But what a year it's been!!!

Update June 2010:

Still in BETA testing. Many users are BETA testing, but Earthv2.org is still lacking in posts. Probably will change the account creation mode soon, but still working on effective SPAM blocking techniques which don't always require Captcha test.

Getting graphics (complete) & entry formatting modes (in progress) to work properly, plus hosting migration (complete), configuring different pages (in progress), plus software updates (complete) ... slows the finalizing process down.

Just sent out an email to the first few account requesters:

Hello. Thank you for applying for an account on Earthv2.org.
I apologize, but Earthv2.org is currently ONLY open for BETA testing to a select few users (~ the first 50 users that apply).

Please send me an email if you wish to be included in our current BETA testing with the subject line "BETA TEST request for Earthv2.org".

Can you tell me a bit about what interests you in contributing to the site?
Do you seek to contribute new and amazing ideas?

Got a few login requests. This is the edited response that went out to some people.

Earthv2 is in development stages right now, & I need a few motivated people to help me create this vibrant site.
Nothing is 'fixed' at this point, it is mostly a vision.
** A LOT OF THE FUNCTIONALITY DOESN'T WORK **.

If you know or want to learn Drupal, this could be a place where you can make a significant contribution.
